POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking the following individual for our Midwest Sales force to serve as a Sales Manager marketing value through technical project selling of specialty chemical additives in industrial fluids, i.e. metal working fluids, lubricants, cleaners, mold release, etc. and provide guidance to customers by providing product/services information to fulfill the needs of our customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Prospecting - New Markets and Customers
· Ability to Close Deals
· Follow-up with Urgency and Responsiveness
· Excellence in Negotiating
· Selling Value
· Working with and Motivating Distribution
· Cover Current Territory Size: $2-3 M – shared by current sales manager
· Short to Mid-Term Business Potential: $1-2 M (within 1-3 years)
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree – Technical Degree, Chemistry highly preferred
· Minimum 3 years Sales experience
· Team Based Selling Experience – Sales/Technical/Product Management
· Chemical Industry experience required; Performance Chemical experience is a Bonus
· The following product lines are preferred:
• Specialty Additives for Industrial and Automotive Markets in general
• Defoamers/Antifoams for any application
• Silicone release agents
· Must live in the Midwest region, preferably Michigan/Illinois and surrounding states
· Travel 60% in the field (3 out of 5 days in home office, once per month flying, up to two weeks a month overnight travel)
· Prefer basic understanding of industrial and automotive market regulations/compliances
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in an office environment or out in the field of sales. Must have the ability to drive for long periods of time for travel. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time in home office. Will be required to use phone daily to answer customer needs. Will be required to use computer daily to effectively complete job functions for entire shift.

POSITION STATUS: Salary/Exempt
COMPENSATION: Annual Base Salary, plus Bonus Target
