POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking the following individual for our EH&S department who would have responsibilities to support our production site located in Clover, SC. The Regulatory Specialist I will be expected to provide support in but not limited to the following areas: Customer Support, Trade and Regulation Compliance, Raw Material Data Acquisition and Hazard Communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Respond to customer regulatory inquiries /questionnaires
- Maintain metrics and communicate status to Sales/Marketing personnel
- Global tariff classification, Country of origin / USMCA documents
- TSCA certification for imports
- Complete and sign the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods (IMDG, IATA and DOT)
- Review international regulations for chemicals and define product clearances / requirements
- Provide guidance to the technical group for new product development
- Obtain EH&S information for raw materials from suppliers
- Develop a database listing material global clearance
- Enter and maintain data in relevant databases (CHEMGES, Lotus Notes, Sharepoint)
- Global SDS and label generation utilizing existing software implementation
- Routine review and updating of existing documents to meet country/region specific requirements
- Maintenance and integrity of system data
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Regulatory (EH&S)
- Experience preferred in chemical compliance / food regulations
- Previous chemical experience, specifically with performance chemical additives is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage delivery of projects/programs in a cross functional, geographically dispersed environment in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to improve processes and procedures
- Superior PowerPoint, Word, Excel and CHEMGES or WERCS skills. SAP experience preferred
- Limited travel
FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt
Schedule: 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
Hours: 40 Hours, Full-time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in an office environment. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time. Will be required to use computer daily to effectively complete job functions for entire shift
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office Environment / Manufacturing Plant. Company operates under ISO practices and procedures.
