POSITION SUMMARY:

Munzing is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist at our Corporate Office in Bloomfield, NJ.  The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and will play an active role in recruiting & onboarding new hires, support HRIS implementation efforts and be the primary contact person for any HR-related inquiries. This role provides support to the HR team with the highest degree of professionalism, confidentiality, organization and attention to detail.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Serve as the point of contact for HR related queries, providing an employee experience that reflects our values
  • Record and manage employee information to ensure all HR records are properly maintained such as, but not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations and termination information
  • Serve as backup for Payroll and Benefits Specialist, leveraging prior payroll processing experience
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process and facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires by preparing regarding benefits new hire paperwork, coordinate pre-employment screenings and organize new hire orientation
  • Manage leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Conduct salary surveys and analyze market data to ensure competitive compensation
  • Enter and maintain employee data in HR systems
  • Serve as a support role in the implementation of a new HCM system and an active participant in testing
  • Assist the HR team in administering employee benefits programs, including new hire and open enrollment
  • Generate and submit all reporting requirements to ensure compliance (EEO, ACA, etc.)
  • Ensure 401k documents are authorized and processed in a timely manner
  • Oversee the Workers’ Comp claim process
  • Manages the tracking system for performance reviews and ensures timely emails of annual communications
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years HR experience; payroll processing exposure preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn the HRIS and benefit management systems
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • A desire to learn and grow in the HR field, with a willingness to take on new challenges

    Job Classification: Salaried/Exempt
    Schedule:  Monday – Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm)
    Hours:   40 Hours, Full-time

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in an office environment.   Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.  Will be required to use phone daily to answer employee needs.  Will be required to use computer daily to effectively complete job functions for entire shift.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment.
