Your Team

The Senior Product Manager will oversee commercial operations for one or two CCA product lines. This role involves close collaboration with the Global CCA Product Management team to coordinate operational initiatives and support business unit strategies in line with global objectives. The position plays a key role in evaluating sales performance to identify growth opportunities, balancing operational planning with margin optimization, addressing critical customer challenges, and shaping communication strategies to maintain alignment across the business.

Additionally, this role provides coaching and support to European Product Managers across other business units. It serves as a central coordination point for regional product management activities that span multiple units. While much of this work is operational in nature, it also includes offering guidance on customer and product-related matters, such as pricing decisions and broader business unit development.

The role carries accountability for financial KPIs at both regional and global business unit level.

Your Tasks
  • Manage one or two product lines and provide support to the regional CCA product management team.  
  • Provide coaching and guidance to product managers in Process Technology and CCA Business Units.
  • Be the central figure in the coordination and communication between Production, Technical, and Sales, to align priorities and business continuity (e.g. solve problems, operational efficiency, keep the business running)
    • Address and resolve critical customer issues, including claims and supply challenges.
    • Identify organizational gaps and develop proposals for how to resolve the gaps
  • Report on CCA Business Unit Development, in conjunction with CCA Americas & APAC, with quarterly business reviews (Management Margin Calls) and annual strategic planning.
  • Align with Regional Commercial Directors and COO for Business Unit Strategy and Market Intelligence. Develop and implement product line / market-focused strategies to ensure sustained growth and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with key global and strategic accounts owners to drive growth.
  • Responsibility for all Product Management Communication for the region and globally for the product lines being managed.  Ensure there is advanced communication and clearly defined processes for all commercial activities internally and externally. (e.g. complaints, price list, SOPs, TDS, Marketing Material, customer letters)
    • Review existing Processes and Develop new Processes as needed to ensure alignment in the region and across regions. 
  • Manage the Product Life Cycle Process, in conjunction with all CCA PM’s.
  • Ensure alignment between technical and sales for growth strategies.  Review all new product development activities for commercial validity and coordinate introduction to the market utilizing a defined process. 
  • Oversee Financial KPIs including Margin Development and inventory management (e.g. age stock, MTI / MTO, reorder points)

 

Your Profile
  • Master of Science / PhD in chemistry, engineering or a related field preferred. Additional degrees in Business Administration provide benefit.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical role
  • Additional years of Commercial and management experience preferred.
  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience in a relevant market or product line (e.g., Coatings, Specialty Additives (…)).
  • Business-fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving business targets and driving growth across areas of responsibility.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in market analysis, product development, and performance monitoring
  • High willingness to travel internationally for business purposes.
