METOLAT® P 860

METOLAT P 860 is recommended for the use in dry mixtures which are to be blended or diluted with water prior to application. METOLAT P 860 reduces shrinkage in cementitious systems and acts as coalescent in powder paints.

METOLAT P 590 is an APEO free wetting agent in powder form. It is added to dry blends, which are dissolved in water before application. The addition of METOLAT P 590 results in an accelerated wetting of all solid particles, including sand, cement and fibres. This results in a more homogeneous mixture of the mass and a more uniform aspect of the surface after drying. In pigmented systems METOLAT P 590 leads to a faster wetting of the pigment surface and prevents reagglomeration. Colour strength is increased and the pigment can be used more efficiently. METOLAT P 590 improves the homogeneous distribution of the pigments and prevents their floading to the surface. In powder paints the use of METOLAT P 590 prevents rub-out effects. METOLAT P 590 also prevents efflorescence („lime bloom“).
