TAFIGEL® AP 18

TAFIGEL AP 18 is a highly hydrolysis stable and effective synthetic acrylate-based thickener for coatings and paints with extreme pH-values up to 13. This product does not raise the undesired elastic behaviour and ensures a good application ability of paints and coatings. Moreover, it increases notably the wet abrasion resistance compared to cellulose ethers.

TAFIGEL AP 17 is synthetic acrylate-based thickener for coatings and paints with a pH-value up to 12. It is particularly designed for an enhanced storage stability and to minimize the post thickening effects in paints such as silicate-based interior- and exterior wallpaints. Moreover, it does not raise the undesired elastic behaviour and ensures a good application ability of paints. This product increases notably the wet abrasion resistance compared to cellulose ethers.

TAFIGEL AP 20 is recommended as thickener for anionic and nonionic systems.

TAFIGEL AP 30 is recommended as thickener for anionic and nonionic systems.

TAFIGEL AP 11 is a synthetic thickener designed for universal use in low to high PVC systems. In comparison to common HASE thickeners it shows a stronger associative thickening character. TAFIGEL AP 11 requires an alkaline pH-value (>8) for optimum efficiency.

TAFIGEL PUR 55 is designed as a solvent-free “associative thickener” which builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. Aqueous paints with TAFIGEL PUR 55 show minimum pseudoplasticity, similar to rheology profiles of solvent borne lacquers. It can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners, as well as with cellulosic and acrylic thickeners. TAFIGEL PUR 55 is recommended for use in following systems: Interior/ exterior architectural paints, high gloss coatings, anti- corrosive paints, emulsion plasters, printing inks, adhesives and joint fillers.
